St. Paul’s is committed to reaching out in many ways, striving to live out Christ’s command to love our neighbors, both nearby and far away. We serve with gifts of time, talents and “treasure.” We support dozens of organizations working with people in need, both through the support we give to the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and through our own efforts.
The Outreach Committee coordinates congregational activities such a Hunger Awareness Program during Lent, collecting food items and funds for several food pantries, and participating in legislative advocacy through Bread for the World’s Offering of Letters. We support the Diocese’s B-SAFE summer youth program, several knitting ministries (including Project Linus), and other local activities including outreach to Veterans at our local Bedford VA Hospital.

Our annual Advent Giving Tree supports various ministries around the world, with a different focus each year. You can contribute through our Advent Giving Tree page.
Our focus on assisting immigrants involves partnerships with the International Institute of New England, the Brazilian Worker Center, and other domestic and international organizations helping meet the needs of displaced and refugee families. We help provide family support to Sudanese immigrants through South Sudanese Enrichment for Families. In partnership with Ukraine Forward, we have provided medical equipment for injured military and civilians.
St. Paul’s has a special relationship with Haiti. Past medical mission trips to Haiti inspired us to establish annual support for training programs for Haitian nurses at FSIL and therapists at FSRL in Leogane as well as providing funding for the Children’s Nutrition Program of Haiti. Through Diocesan Grants and our own Capital Campaign, we are supporting the faculty and the construction of a new campus for the therapy school, FSRL, in Haiti.
The Outreach ministry at St. Paul’s is not just for adults. Our Sunday School children help make cards for veterans hospitalized at the Bedford VA. The Middle School Youth are involved with Special Olympics and the Cradles to Crayons program. Our enthusiastic teens travel with Appalachia Service Project to help rebuild homes in impoverished areas of Virginia and West Virginia. Girl and Boy Scouts participate in an annual Scout Sunday and service projects. Parishioners of all ages have participated in packaging projects, sewing and knitting projects, and fundraising.
