Advent Giving Tree

The Advent Giving Tree has a virtual option again this year!

This year our Advent Giving Tree supports children all over the world with funding for four different international and domestic program partners. When you visit St. Paul’s this Advent, please take a tag from our Giving Tree (or several tags, if you wish to support more than one project) and return it with your check or cash by Christmas Day. You can also make your contribution online using the PayPal button below.

Partners we are supporting this year:

NuDay Syria Dental ClinicNuDay has opened a new dental clinic for vulnerable women and children in Syria. Run by a female dentist and staff, the clinic provides free dental care for several hundred patients every month. The clinic costs $4500 a month to run and they are hoping to install solar panels costing $3000 to further reduce energy costs.

The WonderfundServing children engaged with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, the Wonderfund helps provide comfort and dignity to 53,000 children impacted by abuse and neglect. Services include emergency aid, enrichment opportunities, access to cultural experiences and providing everyday essentials such as toiletries and school supplies.

Children’s Nutrition Program of Haiti (CNP): In Haiti 1 in 5 children are chronically malnourished. With 2.5 million Haitians living in extreme poverty, 1 in 14 children die before their fifth birthday. St. Paul’s provides funding for the yearly salary of a CNP Monitrice, who provides life-saving effective training and monitoring to improve nutrition and health of families in rural areas.

South Sudanese Enrichment for Families: Many South Sudanese came to the United States in the 1990s and early 2000s fleeing one of the worst humanitarian crises of our generation. They were survivors of the world’s longest civil war, during which more than 2 million people perished. Around 150 of these refugees settled in the Boston area. Focused on creating opportunities to share South Sudan’s history and distinct cultural heritage, SSEF is the only whole-family resource dedicated to South Sudanese who have resettled in Massachusetts. St. Paul’s has funded camperships and provided support for SSEF’s community based enrichment programs.
