Rector Search 2025-26

The wardens, vestry, and search committee are pleased to report that Rev. Sarah Brock has accepted the call to be the next rector of St. Paul’s.

Rev. Sarah currently serves as the Vicar of Erie Episcopal, sharing ministry with the Dean of the Cathedral of St. Paul and serving as the primary clergy for St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Joining St. Paul’s Bedford is a return to the Diocese of Massachusetts for Rev. Sarah. She previously served as Assistant Vicar at St. John’s Beverly Farms and as a ministry intern at the Society of Saint John the Evangelist monastery in Cambridge.

Rev. Sarah is warm and personable, and has been praised by her colleagues for her pastoral care skills. She is comfortable with the liturgies in the Book of Common Prayer and is energized by new modes of worship as well. She is both confident in her own gifts and humble in her approach to ministry. She values and respects the importance of lay ministry, both formal and informal. An excellent writer, compelling preacher, and capable administrator, Rev. Sarah has a passion for feeding people—both literally, through ministry to the hungry and unhoused, and spiritually.

We anticipate Rev. Sarah will begin her ministry with us on September 1. The vestry, clergy, staff, and lay leaders will use the summer months to prepare for that transition, including a formal farewell for Rev. Jeanne as our interim rector.

We look forward to growing together with Rev. Sarah on our mutual spiritual journey.

Yours in Christ,
Chris Anderson and Heath Luedde, wardens
Emily Mitchell and Ron Presti, Search Committee co-chairs
