It’s time for ST. PAUL’S KARAOKE! Saturday, January 21!
Grab your friends, and leave your inhibitions at the door. DJ Kelly Simpson will be on hand to help us shake off the winter doldrums by singing our hearts out to our favorite songs. Whether your tastes run to Jimmy Buffett, Lady Gaga, or anywhere in between, we’ve got the music and the mood to get you on stage.
We’ll have special auctions, including a chance to bid on the song that Rev. Chris will HAVE to sing, and a prize of unspeakable value for one of our brave singers. It’ll be a wonderful night of fun and fellowship, surrounded by friends.
Doors open at 7:00pm, and the fun begins at 7:30pm. We’ll have food and libations to keep the party going as long as we can stand it. Tickets are $10 for singers and $15 for non-singers, available after church on January 15 or at the door.
What are you waiting for? Come to St. Paul’s Karaoke — because God doesn’t care what you sound like.
Regarding the final “tag line” for the Karaoke night…I find it offensive to say that God doesn’t care what you sound like. God cares about everything…
It seems more appropriate to say that God made the voice of the sparrow and the crow and each sound equally as sweet to Him.
Just my opinion…
Ooh, what a wonderful way to put it! Our intent was to signal that this is not an event just for singers — it’s a fun evening for anybody, and half the fun is being joyful in singing together, no matter what your abilities. You’re right that it all sounds sweet to Him!
